Pierre JEANNERET (1896-1967) A Linen Basket, circa 1956. Teak, Cane; Model: PJ-050601 Marked in white paint: P.G.I. Boys (H.)-051 Laundry hamper known as “Dirty linen basket”, in solid teak and cane wicker. Solid teak structure, four panels with teak frames and cane centre. Opening flap at the top with metal hinges. DIMENSIONS: Height: 17 in. (43 cm) Length: 28½ in (72 cm ) Depth: 18 in (46 cm) (+/-). ESTIMATE: £ 4,000 – 6,000 PROVENANCE: - Punjab Hospital in Chandigarh, “M.L.A. Hostel” (hostel for civil servants), and “M.L.A. Flat” (residence for civil servants) in Chandigarh, sectors 3 and 4. Acquired from the above by the present owner.
