Habsburg Percussion Pistol for Cavalry, M1854

Habsburg Percussion Pistol for Cavalry, M1854 Single shot percussion pistol produced at one of the Austrians arsenals. Smoot walnut half-stock with iron barrel in Cal. 14 mm and iron barrel band. Flat Iron lockplate, stamped with a double-headed eagle and numbered 864. Vaulted iron cock, thumb plate, trigger guard, smooth grip-cap and iron sight. Habsburgs Percussie Pistool voor Cavalerie, M1854 Enkelschots percussie pistool, geproduceerd in één van de Habsburgse wapenmanufacturen. Gladde notenhouten lade met gladde loop in Kal.14 mm en ijzeren loopband. Vlakke ijzeren slotplaat, gewelfde haan, ijzeren trekkerbeugel, duimplaat, gladde ijzeren kolfkap en ijzeren korrel. Lengte: 41 cm. [II+] NOTE Opgemerkt dient te worden dat er in deze pistolen geen plaats was gemaakt voor de laadstokken, zoals dat gebruikelijk was bij andere europese vuursteen- en percussiepistolen. De laadstokken voor deze pistolen werden gedragen aan een nekkoord (ontbreekt bij dit exemplaar). Mede hierdoor is dit Habsburgs Lorenz-pistool uit 1854 een uniek en uitstekend verzamelobject. V
