A Saudi Jezail Percussion Rifle, ca. 1890

A Saudi Jezail Percussion Rifle, ca. 1890 The wooden full stock decorated with large and small engraved silver plates, copper wire and smooth round barrel. The grip with fine engraved iron butt cap and decorated with over a hundred small Rat tooth. Brass trigger guard, iron lock plate, cock and original ramrod. The trigger plate stamped with ‘VR’ under British Crown and ‘1857 Tower’. (Old restorations) Saoedisch Jezail Percussie Geweer, ca. 1890 Houten greep en lade, verfraaid met gegraveerd zilveren monturen en gewikkeld koperdraad. De greep versierd met honderden kleine ‘ratten’tanden. Gladde ronde en onversierde loop en vlakke ijzeren slotplaat, gemerkt met Victoriaanse kroon en gestempeld ‘1857’ boven ‘Tower’. Bronzen trekkerbeugel en ijzeren laadstok. (Oude restauraties). Lengte: 134 cm. [III]
