Short French Artillery Sword, M1832 Also called ‘Glaive’ with heavy gilt bronze hilt and small horizontal guard in one piece. The grip with stepped scale pattern and relief of a raised rooster on the pommel. This distinctive steel ‘Gladius’ type has a double edged blade with twin and single fullers on each side. The sword has a bronze mounted black leather scabbard. Kort Frans Artillerie Zwaard, M1832 Zgn. ‘Glaive’ met massieve bronzen greep en brede, dubbelsnijdige kling.
