An Exceptional 17th Century Dutch Baroque Cupboard
A exceptional 17th century Dutch Baroque cupboard, so called “Kussenkast". Rosewood, ebony and ebonised wood veneered on oak. The moulded corniche, above a plain frieze, set with three lion’s masks and above the middle mask a cherub holding an escutcheon. The two doors with rectangular panels set with moulded corniches and scrolling foliage, flanked by half round pilasters with carved capitals . The midlle pilaster has to be moved for finding the key-hole. The sides also with rectangular panels with moulded corniches. The lower section with two drawers with the original wooden handles. On the three original ballfeet. Inside with the two original oak shelves with rosewood front.
