Note: A beautiful poster, realized by Ogé ca. 1900, to advertise the American bicycle brand "Snell". An American-looking gentleman is riding his shiny new bicycle while smoking a cigar and mocking the French chauffeur, who is no longer in need. Eugène Ogé (1861-1936) was a French poster artist with a unique and playful style. In 1902. he produced one of the best-known anticlerical images of its period La Lanterne. He also made a large number of commercial posters for products.
