Irakli Cholobargia is one of the most respected and recognizable figures in the Georgian wine and spirits industry, bringing more than 25 years of experience in wine marketing, branding, international promotion, and business development.

Widely regarded as an ambassador of Georgian wine, he has dedicated much of his career to promoting Georgia’s winemaking heritage on the international stage. Over the years, he has represented Georgia at leading wine exhibitions, trade fairs, professional forums, and industry events across the world, becoming one of the most familiar and influential figures within the Georgian wine community.

From 2012 to 2021, Irakli served as Head of the Marketing Department of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, where he played a key role in developing and implementing the country’s international wine promotion strategy. During his tenure, Georgian wine strengthened its presence in global markets and further established its reputation as one of the world’s oldest and most distinctive winemaking traditions.

In addition to his leadership and marketing expertise, Irakli is a respected international wine judge, regularly serving on the judging panels of prestigious wine competitions and industry awards. His extensive experience evaluating wines from around the world has earned him the respect of producers, industry professionals, and fellow experts alike.
