Teona Tokhadze is one of Georgia’s leading sommeliers and wine professionals, representing a new generation of experts dedicated to preserving, promoting, and elevating Georgian wine culture on the international stage.
She graduated from the Khetsuriani Sommelier and Wine School in 2016 and is an accredited professional sommelier by the Association of Sommeliers of Georgia. Further strengthening her international expertise, Teona holds the highly respected WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, one of the world’s recognized qualifications in wine education.
Her expertise has been widely recognized within the professional wine community, serving as a jury member at several prominent wine festivals and competitions, including the Tbilisi Wine Festival and Winecast.
In 2024, Teona became a finalist in the Best Sommelier of Georgia competition, and in 2026 she achieved the highest national recognition by becoming Best Sommelier of Georgia — making history as the first woman ever to hold this prestigious title.
