Yashar Ajami

Yashar Ajami is the Director and Head of Hessink's Islamic Art department. He  joined the company in 2022 to establish a flourishing department in response to the growing demand and popularity of Islamic Art around the world. 

He began his career in 2009 as an independent researcher and collector of Islamic Art and since 2013 he is working with numerous collectors and museums as an international Art dealer with expertise in Islamic Art and Manuscripts. 

He has lived and travelled extensively across the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, and has good working knowledge of Persian, Arabic and Urdu.
