White-Glazed Ceramic Tile with the Holy Face of Jesus, Sphinx Petrus Regout

Wall-mounted ceramic devotional tile in the form of a cross, featuring a raised depiction of the Holy Face of Jesus with crown of thorns. Executed in white-glazed earthenware with stylised modelling and a softly rounded halo surrounding the face. The tile has a pierced suspension hole at the top and a drainage hole at the base. Marked on the reverse with the Sphinx mark of Petrus Regout, Maastricht.

Wandtegel in de vorm van een kruis met verhoogde voorstelling van het Heilig Gelaat van Jezus met doornenkroon. Uitgevoerd in witgeglazuurd aardewerk met gestileerde vormen en een zacht afgeronde stralenkrans rond het hoofd. Voorzien van een ophangoog bovenaan en een drainagegaatje onderaan. Aan de achterzijde gemerkt met het Sphinx-fabrieksmerk van Petrus Regout, Maastricht.
