Glazed Ceramic figure of Jesus Christ, standing on a raised plinth with arms raised, wearing long flowing robes open at the chest revealing his sacred heart, his heart, hands, and feet showing the wounds in red glaze he received during his crucifixion, the back of the plinth with name and text "PIET.GERRITS.'IT.FEC. RUD.BLESS.ED."

Geglazuurd keramisch beeld van Christus, staand op een verhoogd voetstuk met opgestoken armen. Gekleed in langvallende gewaden die aan de borst geopend zijn, waardoor het Heilig Hart zichtbaar is. Hart, handen en voeten zijn gemarkeerd met rood glazuur als aanduiding van de kruisigingswonden. Achterzijde van het voetstuk met naam en inscriptie: “PIET.GERRITS.'IT.FEC. RUD.BLESS.ED.”

Petrus Hendrikus (Piet) Gerrits (Nijmegen, 13 november 1878 – Groesbeek, 15 januari 1957) was een Nederlands beeldhouwer, boekbandontwerper, glazenier en schilder. Bij zijn terugkeer van een bezoek aan het Heilig Land is hij vanaf 1912 verbonden aan de Heilig Landstichting bij het latere dorpje Heilig Landstichting. Vanaf 1917 was hij conservator en artistiek adviseur en hield zich bezig met de inrichting van het terrein en ontwierp de verschillende gebouwen, beelden en reliëfs.
