An E. Leitz Compound Microscope. Germany, Circa 1890. A continental brass microscope engraved on the base "E. Leitz, Wetzlar no 11158", with rack & pinion course and micrometer thumbwheel fine focussing. The microscope comes with 4 objectives, 3 oculars, square shaped stage, all mounted on a single brass pillar above a Y-shaped foot, with original mahogany case with accessories mounted on the inside, the case with brass handle, hinges, and lock."
