A Large Thai Bronze Figure of Buddha Shakyamuni
Thailand, 18th/19th century.
Seated in virasana, his right hand in bhumisparshamudra while the other rests on his lap, wearing samghati, his face with serene expression, downcast eyes, aquiline nose, elongated earlobes, scurled hairdress and usnisha, the latter surmounted by a flame.
