Witgeglazuurde keramische wandtegel met Heilig Hart van Jezus, Giel Keulen.
42 x 30 cm.
Note:
Giel Keulen was the principal modeller at Petrus Regout’s Sphinx factory during the mid-20th century and is known for bringing clarity and restraint to religious ceramic design. This tile exemplifies his style: devotional, serene, and suited to both private and institutional interiors. The Sacred Heart, a widely venerated Catholic image of divine compassion, was a common subject in Dutch religious ceramics, especially in the interwar and post-war period. The white glaze reflects the liturgical simplicity of modern sacred art.
