British Cavalry Flintlock Pistol for East India Company, ca. 1804.

British Cavalry Flintlock Pistol for East India Company, ca. 1804. Single shot flintlock pistol with smooth walnut full stock, round barrel in smooth bore Cal. 15mm. and brass barrel band. Vaulted iron lock plate with engraved heart-shaped cartouche and ‘EIC’ initials (= East Indian Company), and dated ‘1804’. Behind the cock owners name ‘Barnet’. Brass grip ring with iron suspension ring, brass trigger guard and thumb plate and iron ramrod. Brits Cavalerie Vuursteenslot Pistool voor West Indische Compagnie Ca. 1804. Gladde notenhouten lade met gladde loop, bronzen loopband en boring in Kal. 11mm. Licht gewelfde slotplaat, gegraveerd hartvormig cartouche met initialen “EIC” en gedateerd ‘1804’. Achter de haan gegraveerde ‘Barnet’ (naam eigenaar). Bronzen trekkerbeugel, duimplaat, vlakke bronzen greepkap en ijzeren laadstok. Lengte: 38 cm. [II] V
