A Rare French Bronze Frame Cavalry Percussion Pistol, Modèle 1779. Single shot percussion pistol transformed in the early 19th century from flintlock to percussion system. Smooth walnut grip with an octogonal barrel, merging to round and smooth bore in 18 mm calibre. Brass lockbox, trigger guard and grip-cap. Iron belthook and ramrod. Zeldzaam Frans Militair Vuursteenslotpistool voor Cavalerie, M1779 Getransformeerd in de vroege 19e eeuw van vuursteenslot systeem naar percussie systeem. Gladde notenhouten kolf met ronde, gladde loop in Kal.18 mm en messing slotkast. De ijzeren gordelhaak bevestigd aan de onderzijde van het kastslot (=eerste productie). Messing trekkerbeugel, messing kolfkap, gewelfde ijzeren haan en ijzeren laadstok. Lengte: 35 cm. [II-] V
