Polychrome and Gilt Porcelain Figure of the Madonna and Child, Vieux Paris

Small porcelain figure of the seated Madonna holding the Christ Child, set on a decorative rococo-style base with gilt scrollwork and a moulded angel’s head. The Madonna wears a rose-pink veil and star-patterned robe, with green and ochre landscape detailing at her feet. The base is decorated in white and pale green with the gilt Marian monogram “AM” on the front panel. Polychrome and gilt highlights throughout.

Klein porseleinen beeld van de zittende Madonna met het Christuskind, geplaatst op een sierlijke voet in rococostijl met verguld rolwerk en een gemodelleerd engelenhoofd. Maria draagt een rozerode sluier en een met sterren versierd gewaad; aan haar voeten een landschap in groen- en okertinten. De voet is afgewerkt in wit en lichtgroen, met op het voorpaneel het vergulde Mariamonogram “AM”. Versierd met polychrome en vergulde accenten.
