Foliante kunstuitgave gewijd aan het Spaanse stierenvechten, met 16 kleurenlitho's en een kleurenlitho als titelpagina. Veel zwart-witlitho's. Tekst in het Frans en Spaans. Dit album, dat grotendeels gewijd is aan Picasso's tekeningen, gewassen tekeningen en recente schetsen over het thema stierenvechten, is het resultaat van samenwerking tussen de grote kunstenaar en de uitgever. De illustraties, ontstaan tussen 1950 en 1960, tonen stieren, torero’s en arenascènes in expressieve, vrije stijl. De begeleidende tekst is geschreven door de legendarische torero Luis Miguel Dominguín, met een inleidend essay van Georges Boudaille.
Druktechniek uitgevoerd bij Mourlot, Parijs (illustraties) en Nederlandse zet- en drukkerij (tekst). Exemplaar in de originele linnen band met bijbehorende originele schuifdoos (cassette).
Dit boek is geschonken aan de bekende kunstenaar Nicolaas Burgers. Met persoonlijke boodschap en handtekening op voorplat.

The volume includes 16 colour lithographs and a lithographed title page in colour, along with numerous black-and-white lithographs. The text is printed in both French and Spanish. Largely devoted to Picasso’s drawings, ink washes, and recent sketches on the theme of bullfighting, the album is the result of a collaboration between the artist and the publisher. The illustrations, created between 1950 and 1960, depict bulls, matadors, and arena scenes in an expressive, spontaneous style.
The accompanying text was written by legendary torero Luis Miguel Dominguín, with an introductory essay by Georges Boudaille. The lithographs were printed by Mourlot in Paris, and the typesetting and printing of the text were carried out in the Netherlands.
Copy in the original linen binding, complete with the original slipcase.
This particular copy was gifted to the well-known artist Nicolaas Burgers and includes a personal inscription and signature on the front cover.
