Two Chinese Carved Dark Gray Stone Heads of Buddha

China, Tang Dynasty 618-907 A.D. or later.

The full face well carved with gentle expression, the hair arranged with tight curls above his forehead and framed by pendulous ear lobes, stone with traces of pigment.

35.5 cm (14 in.), and 40.5 cm (16in.) high
