Polychrome and Gilt Porcelain Group of the Holy Family

German manufacture, impressed model number “1618”, with unidentified arrows mark and iron-cross stamp, recorded in 1880.

Porcelain figure group depicting the Holy Family—Saint Joseph holding a flowering staff, the Virgin Mary holding the hand of the Christ Child—standing on an oval base. Executed in soft pastel tones with gilt details, notably on the lilies and Sacred Heart emblem. The group is finely modelled in high-quality porcelain, with expressive facial features and gently flowing drapery. The base is impressed with the model number “1618” and a blue underglaze mark of crossed arrows, documented in André Lütken’s Opfindelsernes Bog V (1880), though its attribution remains unidentified.

Porseleinen beeldengroep van de Heilige Familie: Sint Jozef met bloeiende staf, de Maagd Maria hand in hand met het Christuskind, allen staand op een ovale voet. Uitgevoerd in zachte pasteltinten met vergulde details, met name op de lelies en het Heilig Hart-embleem. Fijn gemodelleerd porselein van hoge kwaliteit, met expressieve gelaatstrekken en vloeiend vallende gewaden. Voet gemerkt met modelnummer “1618” en een blauw onderglazuurmerk met gekruiste pijlen, vermeld in Opfindelsernes Bog V van André Lütken (1880), maar zonder bekende toeschrijving.
