A Georgian Percussion Rifle, ca. 1850 The rifle with octagonal merging to round Damascus barrel, ending in a cannon-shaped muzzle with smooth bore. Wooden full stock with fine ‘Mother-of-Pearl’ and ebony inlaid, brass details, horn nose and butt cap. Smooth iron lockplate, trigger guard, cock and ramrod. The lockplate stamped with the British ‘standing lion with crown ’. Georgisch Inheems Percussiegeweer, ca. 1850 Notenhouten greep en lade, hoorn greepkap en mondstuk. Greep en lade ingelegd met parelmoer en ebbenhout. Achtkantige in rond overgaande damastloop en kanonvormige monding. Gladde ijzeren slotplaat, trekkerbeugel, haan en laadstok. De slotplaat gestempeld met Britse staande leeuw en kroon. Lengte: 135 cm. [III]
