A Soviet Era Optical Marine PGK-2 Direction Finder. Russia/USSR, circa 1950. The optical direction finder PGK-2 is designed to find the compass bearing relative to a coastal object or celestial body and is an optical monocular device with a device for deep sighting. The principle of operation of the direction finder is that, while observing the direction-finding object through the eyepiece, the observer simultaneously sees the scale of the repeater card, according to which the angular bearing is calculated. Measurement: 12 x 31 x 20 cm. catalogue Note: These direction finders were/are used on the ships of the Soviet Navy, Also know as the Red Fleet. Estimate: 30-50
