Biscuit Porcelain Figure of the Madonna and Child on Gilt Pedestal, by Mauger & Letu

Devotional figure of the Madonna carrying the sleeping Christ Child in her arms, modelled in white biscuit porcelain with fine drapery and detailing. The figure stands on an octagonal porcelain pedestal with applied gilt decoration and stylised classical and foliate motifs. The front of the pedestal bears the gilt monogram “AM” within a geometric patterned panel.

Geplaatst op een achthoekige porseleinen sokkel met aangebrachte vergulde decoratie en gestileerde klassieke en bladmotieven. Op de voorzijde van de sokkel het vergulde monogram “AM” binnen een geometrisch patroonveld.
