French Navy Epee Sword for Officers, M1837

French Navy Epee Sword for Officers, M1837 With a bronze knucklebow and guard plates with relief of an anchor. Strait triangular blade, blade moderate, superficially spotty. Finely engraved bronze container with locking button, with a bar and asymmetric stitch cloth. Made the third-side stitch cloth with nautical decor, sleeve made of horn and with intact wire wrapping. The sword complete with a black leather scabbard and belt. Frans Marine officiersdegen, M1837 Messing beugelgevest conische pommel en dubbele 'nier' vormige stootplaten, waarvan de binnenste scharnierend en versierd met ‘ankers’ in reliëf. De houten greep omwikkeld met gevlochten koperdraad. Rechte, 3-kantige kling. Compleet met schede en lederen “Gehänge”. Lengte: 97 cm. [II]
