Mould-blown vase in opaque black glass with glossy finish, featuring a squat, globular body tapering into a short cylindrical neck.

Note:
Glasfabriek De Rupel, active in Boom (Belgium) from 1923 till 1982, was known for producing both utilitarian and decorative glass objects. Their production included vases, lighting components, and tableware in a variety of coloured and clear glass types. This example, with its smooth black surface and restrained form, is characteristic of the factory’s response to modernist aesthetics in the interwar period. The use of black glass was both a stylistic and technical innovation, aligning with Art Deco and Bauhaus influences.
