Oranje-Geel Cameo Glazen Vaas, door Le Verre Français (Charles Schneider, 1881–1953)

Art Deco vaas in geëtst cameo glas met eivormig lichaam op een afgeronde voet. Het gelaagde glas toont een decor in reliëf van oranje en rood florale motieven tegen een gele achtergrond, overgaand in een diep rood gemarmerde basis. De gestileerde bloemen en bladeren zijn kenmerkend voor het krachtige kleurgebruik en de moderne vormentaal van de Le Verre Français-lijn. Gesigneerd Le Verre Français in cursief schrift op de voet.

Art Deco vase in acid-etched cameo glass, with an ovoid body on a rounded foot. The layered glass features an orange and red floral motif in relief against a yellow ground, tapering to a deep red marbled base. The stylised decoration of flowering stems and leaves exemplifies the bold colour palette and modernist design language of the Le Verre Français line. Signed Le Verre Français in script to the foot.

Le Verre Français was the luxury glass line produced by Charles Schneider (1881–1953) in Épinay-sur-Seine from 1918 until the early 1930s. Known for their vivid colours and stylised natural motifs, Schneider's cameo glass works were executed through acid etching layered glass. Each design was produced in limited quantities, combining Art Nouveau techniques with Art Deco aesthetics. This vase is a striking example of the firm’s distinctive craftsmanship and commercial success in the interwar period.
