Small French Infanterie Sabre, Late 18th/early 19th Century So-called “Briquet” with single-edged blade and massif bronze knucklebow guard and ribbed grip. The ricasso market with an “O”. This small sword has a black leather scabbard with bronze mounts. Kort Frans Infanterie Sabel, rond 1800 Zgn. Briquet” sabel, gestempeld: “WKC” (=Stahl- und Metallwaren fabriek Solingen). Zwaar “C”-vormig messing beugelgevest met geribde greep en brede, lichtgebogen en enkelsnijdige kling. In zwartlederen schede met messing monturen. Lengte: totaal 73cm. (II-)
