A painting of a prince with caparisoned horse and servant, Northern India, c. 1820 -1850.
A painting of a prince wearing long white robes with trousers, yellow waist band and turban with sword to waist. Holding the reigns to a large caparisoned horse of a mottled grey colour with gilt and jewelled harness, plumed crest to the top of the head, tiger tooth amulet to the neck. Saddle with multicoloured saddle cloth , band of flower decoration to the flanks. Behind the prince a servant in white robes with purple cap and waist band, holding a riding crop in the right hand.
