Catalogue note:
The ‘Kent’, a 1350-ton-ship, was destroyed by fire during a gale in the
Bay of Biscay while on en route to Calcutta in 1825 carrying the 31st
Regiment. The Brig ‘Cambria’ saved 557 of its passengers, while 85
were lost. see Paris, musée national de la Marine.
